I live in florida and the past couple days have been getting hot so I starting using the A/C and now my car tends to overheat. When I checked my radiator I noticed it was low and refilled it which helped a little. When it starts to overheat I turn the heater on full blast but it doesnt help much. I was cleaning my floor mats today and saw the carpet underneath was wet. From what ive read I think its the heater core leaking and plan to do the bypass but I have a few questions.. What water and oil temps should I see on a hot day for those with aftermarket gauges? Could anything else be causing the driver side carpet to be wet? It doesnt really smell like coolant but I run mostley water anyway. If I do the heater core bypass would the cold a/c still work? I read I need about 18" to 2feet of hose but what should the hose diameter/size be? Its a 96tt btw
